Just proves how crap Pardew is sending him to Fleetwood. If he is any good he should be on loan to a Championship club with a good Manager/Coach. Have ANY of the players we have sent out on loan to the Scottish league or the lower English leagues ever come back and made it to the first team?

Hang on, how does Campbell not being good enough for a championship, become proof that Pardew is crap?

The objective of a player going on loan is two fold. To give him more playing time and to improve his skills. Pardew is crap because he is giving the impression he couldn't give a s**t about Armstrong. To send a player on loan for 4 weeks to a club like Fleetwood is a joke. What does Pardew believe Armstrong will learn in that time? Who says he is not good enough for a Championship club? If Pardew circulated Championship clubs about the availability of certain players who knows. Going to a club like

Derby with a coach like McLaren would definitely improve his play. I can see the same happening with Aarons. Dumping him in Scotland or Division 1/2. The standard of coaching overall at SJP is abysmal.

If a longer term loan deal was not possible whats the harm in this? He could get to play a couple of games and if he does well there may be Championship clubs that would want to take him for the season. What would he do here in that month?

Right the no. 1 objective is game time, so the kid is going to a newly promoted league 1 side. Given that, what makes you think he could get game time with a championship club? And like Fish said, what the fuck does that have to do with Pardew? Sometimes the Pardew bashing for the sake of it is a tad embarrassing.

If everyone is quite happy for our young players to go on loan to any club that asks then don't be surprised when they come back and don't make it as a first team regular. Name one player who has been on loan over the years and made the first team as a regular. Pardew is ultimately responsible for all the playing staff and unless he doesn't give a flying f**k for the young players should be the one who has the final decision on who goes on loan and where.

Not so long ago we used to knock the club for not sending the young lads out on loan to get game time. Surely its better to play in competitive L1 matches than meaningless reserve ties?

I think he was. But he was like 18 wasn't he? He was very very raw anyway. Still qualifies and goes against Blacknwhite's idea that loaning players out condemns them to shithouseness somehow.
