Sammy and Fergie could get a run out next week.

Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew is eager to give his youngsters their chance in the Europa League next week.

Shane Ferguson and Sammy Ameobi are both expected to start against Maritimo.

Pardew said: “We have had some good news in that Shane Ferguson and Sammy Ameobi are back in training, and they are two players who I thought would have featured by now in the first team, so I am looking forward to seeing them out there.

“They really have got a great year in front of them. They are two of our better players.”

Not sure Pardew will want to risk Anita, Taylor or Williamson in this one with Norwich on Sunday. I would go for.

Elliott (Is he still here?)

Tavernier Perch Good Ferguson

Obertan Vuckic Bigi Marveaux

Cisse Shola

Wonder how long it takes the rest of the team to get huffed that Krul, Cabaye, HBA, Tiote, Colo, Jonas, Ba and Cisse are the special kids that will be getting rested for all our European/Cup games this season?
