Just once, after all these years, just say it...

Yet again you were right CT.

We thought we knew better because we had run through every known scenario on Football Manager but hadnt accounted for your footballing eye.

We appreciate that we should try and see the bigger picture before launching in with our inferior, not fully developed yet, footballing knowledge.

One day, you're going to talk like this and actually mean it.

Go on, a modicum of humility.

I said he would do well playing midfield, got called to shit and then Pardew plays him there and he has his best game for us and gets an assist as well.

You'll feel better, honest.

 you're not going to acknowledge that it was an adequate performance against the 10 men of Wigan? You're not going to acknowledge that in the formation played last night he had so much freedom he was able to flit in and out of the game, in a manner he'd not enjoy in other games?

You're just going to take the narrowest view of it? Marveaux in middle + Newcastle win = CT wuz rite lol

It's hard to tell if you're being serious or not.

Feeling quite optimistic about this based on nothing whatsoever. Probably just a mood swing.

Anyway, hope safety first Pardew puts out a team capable of attacking. Ideally for me that would be Ferguson on one wing and Obertan on the other and maybe Marveaux in there as well although I cant really recall who is actually fit and whose not.

Maybe something like

Krul

Simpson Taylor Williamson Santon

Obertan Marveaux Tiote Ferguson

Ba Cisse

However Pardew will no doubt rush Jonas back.

Ive stuck Marveaux in as he certainly showed glimpses the other day (only glimpses) of how he can receive and pass the ball in the middle under pressure whilst still having the eye for a decent forward pass.

Probably Bigi and Jonas will be Pardews choice instead of Ferguson and Marveaux, but with no Ben Arfa creative play has to come from somewhere.

nb Not sure if Obertans fit yet either. :)

Marveaux really played in that position last night like.

Give it up man ffs

Are you saying he did? That the team lined up in that way? Marveaux playing further forward and in the hole is not him playing in a midfield two as you have advocated.
