Facebook's photo-sharing site Instagram has updated its privacy policy giving it the right to sell users' photos to advertisers without notification. Unless users delete their Instagram accounts by a deadline of 16 January, they cannot opt out.

Already deleted mine a few weeks back now. I'm not really into photographing food.

lol aye Jawd put the ToS up on facebook the other night had a good laugh, instantly made me think of that southpark episode where people don't read the new apple agreements

a lot of people just snapping will never know about it, and the pictures they take no doubt 98% of which won't be any use but still, just crazy.

Aye shocking really but as they are instagram pics most will be awful anyway... however some people do upload DSLR pics to instagram as a way of sharing with people and this would be bad if their work was being sold without them earning anything from it.

Would the changes just apply to images uploaded now or all images uploaded in the past too?

i'd say if you hit agree on the new agreement everything then/now is fair game

I've forgotten my username and or password so can't agree to anything luckily. Can see a lot of people deleting their accounts which I probs would have done if I could log in
