NUFC have been rocked by the request of their captain, Fabricio Coloccini, to leave the club during the January transfer window. The 30-year-old told club officials today that he wanted to return home to Argentina.

People on here said this wouldn't happen and was just media bullshit ....... hope so.

Could that be why he didn't play at Brighton?

No quotes from Colo about wanting to leave.

Let's not forget this is the same man who stayed a Newcastle player when we were relegated to the Championship. He's not going to leave the club in January in the midst of a relegation battle.

Lazy journalism.

So they've dug up his father's quotes (that Colo dismissed as rubbish) and used to it to base a wild speculative piece about how Colo wants to leave in this window.

Somehow I doubt the validity of this story.

So you don't believe he wants to leave?

Sorry, you just answered that question ......

Colo is not going to come out publically and say he wants to leave, is he?

The Independent are unlikley to have made up a line like "The 30-year-old told club officials today that he wanted to return home to Argentina." More likely the club has leaked this to break the news to us.

/relegated if he goes.

Yeah, San Lorenzo are full of world class star players ;)

And I'm sure they're playing against the same calibre of opposition. Besides one is home the other is abroad, he's obviously not going home for the footballing challenge.

Again, only of this is accurate.... And I hope to hell it isn't.

A paper links us to player and it's immediately dismissed as bullshit. A paper mentions one of our lot out of the door and it's a reliable source.

This is a rehash of a 5 day old story, with quotes from his Dad, that were later rubbished by his agent.
