And we’ll build our own Galileo system. No question about the cost of it. That’ll be another £10bn on top of the £20bn for the NHS plus the £40bn divorce bill plus the other billions required for post-EU systems. All while likely to have reduced tax revenues.

@Christmas Tree  do you know the location of the magic money tree?

We'll have to use French rockets to launch it, in 20 or 30 years time. Didn't see Marr today but sounds like May has lost the plot. What a shame we have a useless cunt like Corbyn in opposition, who has persuaded his zealots coming second is success.

No shame from the government. Brexit has a major wobble on so they dangle the carrot of 600mil pw for the NHS. And when it never happens it will be the fault of the "remoaners" and Tory rebels

Why the sudden NHS love in? It's been destroyed for years by the government

It's quite something when Charlie Stayt turns out to be a much better political interviewer than Andrew Marr. He pushed Jeremy Hunt this morning on how the NHS increase is going to be funded and the myth of the Brexit dividend. Apparently it'll all be explained to us in November, so stay tuned.

Also, he has to reach a 'deal' with the NHS on the funding. Looks like they still have to get rid of waste. If only someone had thought of that before now.

Aye, I saw that. Quite refreshing. I like Marr generally but as s political interviewer he gives his guests such an easy ride it’s untrue. As for the Tories, what absolute chancers. Announcing this then pretty much admitting it’s made up by putting off until the budget how it’ll be paid for. Anyone buying it is a fucking moron

All part of Hunt’s manoeuvres to position himself as next Tory leader, apparently. He’s the one candidate who might prove even less popular than May

I do have a certain admiration for Jeremy Hunt and his ability to be an absolute cunt and take all the shit he deserves while maintaning a smug semi-grin every time he's wheeled out in front of the camera to try and put a positive spin on the carnage he's inflicting.

They mightn't crash but they won't be taking off.

I suppose it's a decent enough analogy, i.e. Johnson using something he knows fuck all about to describe something he's equally ignorant of

Quote

Polling by Lord Ashcroft, the Conservative peer, found that six in 10 Leave voters would prefer to see Britain leave the European Union over keeping the UK together.

It would be absolutely delicious if the pro-Brexit stance that the DUP have taken, against the will of their people, led to the armageddon that they fear the most.

Incredible. Look at this, only now, with barely 7 months left until Brexit day, the government is advertising for "Head of Airspace Strategy/Head of Aviation EU Exit Negotiations". This suggests no team has even been assembled.

But read the requirements for it which include "Prior knowledge of airspace and the aviation sector is an advantage but not necessary."

Fucking

Hell

May as well get the Mackem taxi driver in the role. This is surreal.
