Had to resort to long range shots throughout the game against the worst team in the league.Difficult to pick out players in such a rubbish performance but Remy and Gouffran need a kick up the backside in particular. Its funny because Gouffran usually puts himself about, didnt give the slightest amount of shite today. Not that Cisse was much better after coming on.And Tiote(who I thought was our best player up till the last 20 minutes), handing out fucking cheap freekicks. Got away with the one Fletcher took but not the second one. Cracking strike and all but the amount of times Tiote has given away needless set pieces that have cost us is hard to remember. He was like a passenger who couldn't find his bus fare. Pointless to find anything good about this performance, we were but a shadow of the team of last week. Believing Shola still has anything to offer a Sunderland derby is like believing in Santa, he has nothing left. Sissoko had to come off he was doing absolutely nothing. Would not have taken Remy off, although he wasn't playing very well, he could still offer us something. We all know Shola is the Mackem destroyer, I think Pardew was hoping he would do it again. Do the players not listen to Pardew? or is he just completely inept at getting players up for a game like this? as there was literally no reaction at the kick offs of the first and 2nd half. Not enough clear chances for a couple of years now. Even when they finished fifth, they relied on the brilliance of basically two players that were playing out of their skins. Seemed pre-occupied with working the ball into more open shots for players like Cabaye which worries me as it seems like a tactic by Pardew. Long rangers no matter how well worked are always going to be tough, we should have been good enough to work the ball into the box against a really shit side. Whenever one of our players has the ball in their half there's about four people offering the easy pass but no one trying to do anything else.
