With a strong Labour leader they could have wiped the floor with the Tories, the Tories are weak as piss.

Yep, this is what's maddening. This shit show was the most vulnerable Tory leadership I've seen in fucking ages and nobody laced up their gloves, let alone managed to land a punch.

Imagine what Blair would have done to Gove and Johnson. Or Ed Milliband. Or a Sock Puppet on the hand of child?

Centrism rules. Or a lefty who appeals to the bigots/social conservatives

Exactly this. When the Tories go to the right you need a safe centrist Labour to mop up those disaffected voters. Instead they’re shit scared of Corbyn so have plumped for Johnson who they know is going to do scary shit but they believe he’s going to do it to other people.

Brexit.

I moved to Cheadle and have contributed to making that race a contest, at least.

I agree with you there. Given his demeanour etc, I’ve struggled for ages to understand why he hasn’t resigned ages ago. I can only assume he’s been convinced by advisors whose vested interests have overridden Corbyn’s better judgement.

To be honest I think people might have still backed him if he'd even surrounded himself with a competent, strong team with clear goals. Instead he's foolishly stuck by the likes of the blundering Abbott etc. They don't fill anyone with confidence sadly.
