They've already given them the keys, now they're also giving them the alarm code....

If Labour don't sort this shit out they're absolutely doomed if they're not already but they're also dooming the rest of us.

It looks to me like the only use for this ID will be to prove that you have the right to work in the UK. So with one fell swoop Starmer has completely smash the tax-evading shadow economy. Absolutely masterful.

It's not you already have to provide a national insurance number and passport details to work legally in the UK. And no doubt those already employing illegal immigrants with cash in hand will be absolutely shitting themselves.

Aye, shocking that Labour let the Tories appoint this fella *checks notes* three years ago when the Tories were in government.

It's another policy that sounds good to thick sunts which 5 seconds of analysis renders pointless,

Not counting the chance to siphon billions to friends of Tony Blair of course.

Do you know what they should do? They should spend billions with a massive campaign to outlaw crime. That'd really stick it to the criminals.

The Tories aren't in government now, are these BBC jobs 'for life'?

You do know the next general election is August 2029 right, the chances of Farage still being high in the polls then are quite low.

It's not just about Farage although he's a big enough reason, see the 'Boris' love-in.

Based on what exactly? Both the main parties seem to be in terminal decline. I can see Labour sticking with Starmer or ditching him when it’s too late. They’re not brave enough to affect the sort of change that’ll counteract the help Reform will get from a complicit media who will / have switched horses since the Tories are in disarray. They’ll get plenty help from Musk and Co too you would think. At the very least they’ll have substantial amount of MPs unless something drastic happens. Do you honestly see Farage being held up to the same standards as Rayner? The last Tory government certainly wasn’t

Labour have withdrawn Owen Jones conference pass. The obsequious wee pleb doesn't deserve that and it's a fucking terrible look for the kabal of fucking twats  saying that we all need a national identity card :cuppa:

I'm surprised he managed to fit in the conference in between playing for Glasgow Celtic.

What did everyone make of Starmer having everyone flying the flag at conference?

Pathetic and doomed attempt to appeal to Reform voting flag-shaggers? Or a noble and patriotic attempt to reclaim the flag from the nationalists?

Blair loved a flag in his day - it worked then. Seems futile and a bit desperate to me now

Then in his speech Starmer calls out Reform for banning journalists.

Did he state that this is what he was intending? If he didn't state it then he's probably angling for both outcomes which just makes him a disingenuous fuck. Same as ever.

He said that a rich cunt paying to rebuild a burnt down library showed that Britain isn't broken.

I'd argue that's the epitome of how broken it is.
