I bet you were stood on the seat like Leo on Titanic, arms spread wide, head tipped back, wind playing havoc with your combover, expecting Wagner or something.

"I'm the king of the wooo-"

"(Tell me what you want)

I want a brand new house

On an episode of Cribs

And a bathroom I can play baseball in

And a king size tub big enough

For ten plus me"

"CHRIS! You've totally ruined my big moment. Turn the car around, we're doing this again."

I've got a mate who goes for two weeks every year. Can't understand that at all. I think the longest I've managed was four nights. I like it but it soon gets old. It's the sound of the fucking slot machines that does me in.

Not really sure what an average holiday is? You don't have to be a massive player to get loads of free things in Vegas...Just look the part and stay on the floor for 12hr shifts...Go and grumble to the liason every morning about summink and they give you loads of passes and comps. Get a players card from the casino.

I'm like Rain Man at Blackjack. :)

If you have a system at Roulette (play all night with small gain) they send fake players to fuck with you so I stopped it.

I've done a full 8 hour shift more than once. It is class - highs, lows; the camaraderie with the other players, uniting to play by the book and increasing each others' odds against the house. The free drinks. My problem is I never walk away while I'm ahead. The casino always beats me because I end up getting too pissed on free cocktails then chasing my losses - those memories of being a few hundred bucks up always fresh in the memory (if hazy) and somehow attainable. ATMs placed strategically next to blackjack tables don't help!

A system at Roulette? Fake players? How does that work? :D

Yeah, I'm more a $1 note in the 1c slot machine to get free drinks type of gambler. Fuck flying 12hours to stand inside a casino for 12 hours straight!

Best casino I've been to was Mohegan sun in Connecticut

I genuinely can't think of a worse way to spend a holiday.

8 and12 hour shifts? Wtf, really selling this to me.

Of course, you don't have to have that kind of visit in Vegas to still have a good time. But I'm weak-willed.

I'm a low stakes player too - 5 to 20 dollar minimum stake tables are best, particularly at the start of the night to chalk up a nice profit before spunking it away on the higher stakes tables later in the night, typically when it seemed like a good idea to keep the night going into the early morning after getting kicked out of the nightclub.

I live in Washington man, I wouldn't holiday on my own doorstep! Despite the Nissan Factory and Penshaw Monument being some of Wearside's landmarks :D

Aye, sounds amazing. I think, basically, we have nothing in common

Getting pissed 'for free' at a cheap slot machine is barely worthwhile. It's utter insanity to do it for soft drinks.
