Holden McGroin 2 Report post Posted January 16, 2006 Always rated him actually. Can play left or right back. Young, quick and maybe on the cheap. Thoughts?

But still, this player is only a shadow of this other guy whose name I can't remember .. but I think he is the skipper of Betty Ford Center United.
geordieshandy 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2006 He's been appalling for about two seasons. Villa fans think he's a bag of wank, so how exactly do you think that would change here?

Villa fans think he's a bag of wank, so how exactly do you think that would change here? 79954[/snapback] Hmm, I've heard many Villa fans saying that about Hughes, and they can't understand why he's in the team. EDIT: Did anyone notice who lost his man for West Ham's first goal on Saturday?
Bombadil 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2006 I realise you're all taking the piss and everyone knew he wasn't good enough for where we wanted to be, but selling Hughes was still a stupid move. We lost a good squad player who was never injured and who didn't complain when he wasn't in the team. I'd take him over Robbie Elliott (and Babayaro when he has one of his stinkers) anytime. Souness and his band of 'yes men' will. Mind you, he's pretty shite anyway, so I hope we don't sign him.
Guest alex Report post Posted January 16, 2006 The problem with selling Hughes was not getting a better replacement. Craig Moore's his replacement. Mind I have no idea how good he is.

Smooth Operator 1 Report post Posted January 16, 2006 Against West Ham he got forward well and whipped a few good crosses in, he's better than Babayaro and Elloitt imo.

TheInspiration 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2006 Hughes playes right-back for them, Bouma normally left-back. Then it is Samuel. Not really seen Bouma play, but he is a Dutch international.
Gejon 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2006 I have heard Villa fans describe Samuel as the worst left back they have ever seen. Sign him up!
