Loads of knackers on twitter having a go at him, like these injuries are his fault.

To be fair, almost nobody Aarons has quoted tweeted at his account.

He's gone on Twitter and searched for his own name to find any negative tweets that he could retweet to make Newcastle fans out to be knackers.

Says more about him than them knackers iyam.

Reckon it's more likely that his hangers-on have pointed out a few tweets to him. That said, the club should really have a proper chat with the young lads and tell them how best to deal with twitter because this behaviour will only exacerbate the issue.

Your really think someone at the club would be the best to advise anyone on dealing with social or any other media? They'd have him charge to accept friend requests and then pay a percentage of what he takes back to the club! Edited by David Kelly

To be fair to them, they've dramatically improved their social media interactions.

Had a coffee with Lee Marshall on Saturday. Mostly to talk about ticketing, but got onto this too.

I praised everything they were doing but had to point out that it's all window dressing. Some people might like videos of players arriving and periscopes from training and emails from the manager, but they're the sort of fans that stand outside with an autograph book and get a hard on that would shame the quiff just from getting a signature.

Most people just want to get real news quickly.

He reckons they're pulling right back on promotional emails for cheap merchandise and he thinks they might be overkilling the emails with apologies and promises every week so wants to slow those down.

That's the young fans though, have to cater to them if you want to keep them engaged, surely?

The weekly open letter shit needs to stop though. I did like the pre-season where they gave Haidara a go-pro mind.

Doesn't his contract actually run until the end of next season? He's doing very little back up the potential he first showed in any case. Always injured or on his way back from injury. I suppose he would fit in perfectly at Arsenal on that basis!

shame if he doesn't re-sign. he has shown plenty of pace and potential. one of the more promising-looking youngsters at the club in recent times, which isn't exactly a lot to shout about, admittedly.

The state of our juniors and reserves is an absolute joke like. I know at that level performances matter more than results but they seem to be getting twatted more times than the first team recently. And everyone that I've spoken to who have gone to see them have all said they are absolutely awful. They need to look at what is going on there.
