Former Arsenal striker Nicolas Anelka has rejected talk that he wants a move to Newcastle United. The French striker was quoted in saying in a newspaper that he was fed up in the Turkish league. Anelka has had spells with Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City in the premiership.

"I'm very happy at Fenerbahce and in Turkey and I plan to stay until the end of my contract," Anelka told the club's official website.

"For a start, the newspapers that are publishing articles on me don't know any information about my contract.

"A club that wants me would have to speak to Fenerbahce Spor Kulubu. Because my contract is there.

"The club hasn't told me of any offer."
