Will De Jong start? Who for?

Anyway enough about the team, they're 6/4 to do us and we're 7/4 to do them. I'll have us in a double or treble with something else at those prices. I know they won last week but they are still proper shit aren't they? Or am I missing something?

We've taken 13pts from a possible 15 off them. They're suspect at the back and I reckon we can deal with their strikers.

It's a shame that Tiote isn't available, but I reckon Anita and Colback will perform just fine in the centre again, Gouffran will lose his place to Sissoko and NDJ will play in the hole. I think De Jong will give Riviere the support he was lacking against Man City.

I don't much rate many of their players. Vlaar, Delph and Guzan were decent last year, but I think we shouldhave enough to get at least a point against a fairly workaday Aston Villa side. Mind you, Joe Cole and Charles N'Zogbia are exactly the kind of bastards that'll use up their only good performances of the season against us.

Fancy 2 of Cabella, Riviere and De Jong to open their accounts and for us to win by at least 2 goals.

There seems to be a mix of staggering optimism and realism on their board. Madness what a 1-0 victory over Stoke will do to you. Canny few seem to be expecting a big victory for them few goals and good performances all round. Those flying the flag for the real world are suggesting a 1-1.

Now, I watched only their highlights, were they that good at the Britannia? We were very good in defeat against a side that will be challenging Chelsea for the title and I think De Jong will add another level to our forwards' performances.

I think it will all depend on Pardew's setup. If we line up defensively, we'll be in for a rough time. If we set up as we did against Man City and go out to attack them, we will do well. Swap Gouffran for de Jong and put him in behind Riviere, where Sissoko played v. City, and play Sissoko and Cabella out wide with Anita and Colback in midfield, and that's a midfield bloc to worry all but the best teams.

Think we might start the same as last week and see de jong introduced in the second half.

If we play as well as we did in spells last time out we'll win
