"usual mature observation fron Rob [seen it all, but know fuck all] there"

We're getting there Leazes, we're getting there

Now you can see that I HAVE seen it all - its now just a short step to see that I AM right all the time

And I think you've made great strides with the anger management - keep taking the tablets, m'boy - we're all proud of you on here - we know it isn't easy

There's been video evidence at both trials.

They're both vermin in my opinion, as bad as each other. Both hated-filled racist c*nts.

Lock them both away for good I say, but stick them in Celebrity Big Brother first as suprise new contestants.

And make them fight each other, but to make it a fair fight first chop off Griffin's hand and poke him in the eye with his new hook...and then it's game on!

stick em both on an island with a huge, yet strangely elusive monster, polar bears, boars murderous "others", that hobbity fella, and a crazy french bird whose face I recognise but whose name I can't place.

not a chance, because I've seen it all Rob me boy.

As I've said before, theres nowt like an "I'm alright Jack" that advocates setting murderers, rapists and muggers free once they "have served their time" just so long as they live in someone elses street.

A staggeringly selfish and stupid view, reality must never have been your strong point.

Playing devil's advocate here, are most murders, rapes etc committed by neighbours in your own street? Why would anyone, even a tree-hugging sandalista, want dangerous criminals roaming around when they might themselves be murdered?

In my slightly misguided but enjoyable youth, before I had a season ticket in the early 80s I used to stand in the Leazes (later crappy one) next to the away fans. I remember the coppers warning people that singing "We hate cockneys" was an arrestable offence because it incited other people to cause trouble. I always had a problem with this as I thought the emphasis of blame should always lie with the actual doer in "unpaid" cases.

I honestly think anyone should be allowed to say anything - I don't think there are degrees fo freedom of speech - you either have it or you don't.

What these two spout is shite - but I think they should have the right to spout it.

Interesting, but I don't think I agree. The problem is there are too many stupid people who can be manipulated by racists and radical fundamentalist muslims alike, and too many people who will react with violence. I believe if people could do as you suggested we'd soon have a blood bath that would become uncontrollable by the authorities.

Mind you, I think you should be allowed to say "we hate cockneys" etc, and strangely, it seems to be well tolerated now at matches.

I don't know, ask Rob, he always advocates letting them out because it's the "Christian" thing to do ....... such naivety

How far do you take it though?

People committing crimes could easily say "Well because of x's remarks I thought it was okay" - when those remarks could be quite tame - going back to football for an example how about I love to go a wandering....

Obviously we're arguing over what "incitement" actually means but since even going to extremes neither of these two actually said "I urge you to kill asians/jews" its all about semantics.

I'd also argue that until cases are brought against the old testament and the koran the law is a joke in this area imo.

Its not its shite or not that matters but the ability to spout it.

One of the things I hate Thatcher for is her stated ambition "To kill socialism" - now you could argue thanks to Tony she's succeeded but it was the fact that she wanted to kill an idea that I found offensive - no matter what the idea is.

Both the OT and the Koran (the former more so I think) advocate killing and/or making slaves of non-believers. Hamza is starting to use this as a defence.

In principle I agree with that.

Going back to the topic of this thread, you can't say ANYTHING though ... you can't incite violence, or say slanderous allegations etc

whatever makes him think he can spout the koran as a defence ... the vast majority of people in this country don't give a damn about the koran, and there is nothing in the law or Constitution saying we should

I'd tell him to get fucked tbh...but we should have told him and his ilk that years ago before it got this far

Perhaps I went too far with "anything" - I think completely false allegations should be able to be challenged and I'd accept that its possible for a Hamza to go too far but I just recoil at the old student "no platform for facists" kind of thinking where freedom to speak is limited.

The vast majority don't give a damn about the bible either despite your frequent referrals to this being a christian country but the point remains that if he is only "preaching" a holy book (of any kind) then its maybe the book that should be looked at.

they may not go to church but still accept the Bible as THE pillar of our religious belief

The arsehole shouldn't be allowed to spout the koran, it is irrelevant to the law, if he thinks it is above it he should fuck off to where it is

I don't think that's true.

The koran is as relevant to law as the bible in any country.

Meaning they are both irrelevant?

I don't consider the UK to be a christian country, but I supposed it could be argued as the Queen is head of state and head of the CoE. But really, in all practical manners, this is a secular country, and becoming ever more so, I hope.
