We were all hungover to fuck and didn't know they were playing Newcastle, walked past the academy and thought "that'll be a laugh" but it was sold out. We went to watch England vs Spain IIRC (1-0 Lampard ?) and had a few (6) recovery pints. Got in the Academy for £15 on the way back. Missed the support but the Darkness were unreal, top class musicianship. They even played their Christmas song in like October or whatever. Cracking gig!
