The issue of playing him while all this was going on is a different matter. Aye, some other clubs might've done it too (even us, perhaps). It's utterly reprehensible either way. They could've handled it so much better. They wouldn't even have had to 'suspend' him. They could've said the stress and media spotlight were affecting him to the extent he wasn't able to play or whatever, without suggesting they thought he was guilty.
