The price of the fee that he's worth is heavily dependant on what level of wages he's willing to accept. 13m on reasonable wages is fair IMO.

13 millions canny pricey for a player that wants to leave a club a league below us and in the final year of his contract. QPR are pricing themselves out of selling him as no one else seems interested either, so I'd just keep waiting and his price will go down.

I'd be mildly shocked if QPR don't sell him because he won't sign a new contract there. If he's not committed to the QPR promotion cause then they might not get the best of him. If you sort the midfield out competent strikers will score goals in the championship (look at Lovenkrands' record for us) so they should be able to bring someone in to score goals.

The flip side of that is if his goals win them promotion next year then it's worth foregoing the 10m+ fee.

Seriously?

Man Utd are one of the highest budget, slow motion train crashes imaginable. What on earth are they even doing anymore? There's no team building, just money being thrown at problems.

Reports in the Independent that he's staying with QPR and will leave for nowt when his contract is up.

Risky. If he gets injured for a while or doesn't have a great season down there, he may find a lack of suitors.

Wonder if it was his wages or the £15m fee that put Premier League sides off?
