But if we say that NUFC traditionally takes 3 points at home from the midtable clubs and one point away, takes 6 for the bottom clubs and takes nothing from the title challengers, is it not reasonable to look at teams who're likely to to struggle against relegation as fixtures from which we'd anticipate earn 3pts a piece? Sure every season is different and Leicester are a perfect example of a team everyone expected to struggle and are defying those predictions. However, the team's who finish in the top 5 will be the same ones that always do, those that finish in the middle are likely to be the same as usual plus maybe one of the promoted, and the ones at the bottom are likely to be the ones that always struggle, plus 2-3 of the promoted sides.
