It's nothing to do with the players, most managers in the league would happily want to work with this group of players. On paper, the players we have are better than the ones who got uns into the Champions League, apart from one or two exceptions. If Robson had been told in 2003 that he could go out and sign Owen, Emre, Parker and Luque and an £8m defender, we would have been challenging for the title the next season.

It's all down to the manager. If we can hold on to the better players we have and and if we can get a good manager in, there's no reason why we can't turn it all around.

I don't follow this post. Are you highlighting the ones you don't think are good enough? By implication, are you happy with Luque, half of Owen, Babyaro, Carr and a Turkish midfielder who never plays?

Odd.

Thats the way it is, even with the injuries he is putting out a team better than many of the clubs above us in the league. And aside from Manu, arse, pool and chelsea nobody has a better squad, they do however have better managers.

Whoever takes over if he goes this season i won't judge on this season really because they are coming in very late, so i'd be looking for some improvement in league position and clear signs that things were moving forward, plus signs of actual tactics, organisation, coaching and the like.

Whereas when fuckwitt souness took over it was after only 4 games so he had no excuse for not achieving anythign thats eason.
