FA Cup

 Aye I would have to agree we've been hammered at Man City so much it's sort of expected. Instead of losing 0-1 to Stourbridge, Whitehawk, Newport or whatever non-league/League 2 pish is in the draw. Embarrassing, even for us.

Like that loss to Stevenage under Pardew. Media wanking over 'da magic of da cup'. No, it's the magic of us being tragically shite.

 Aye a 6-0 trouncing would result in a shrug from the media, but they'd wank themselves daft if we went out to a League one side no matter how obvious it is that we would. I'm surprised Northampton avoided getting grief for losing 4-1 to us.

If there's ever a season we'd go out with a whimper it's this one. They'll take one look at the league table and you know what's going to happen. Daft thing is the players are desperate for some confidence and I reckon that cup run the mackems had to the final gave them a real boost as they miraculously stayed up. I remember having about three or four games v Watford in the FA cup in our relegation season where both teams were finally put out of their misery when Roeder half volleyed into his own net after three or four absolute turgid games of football. Can you imagine if they'd carried on replaying under this regime? I think they'd name the 3rd replay team starring Derek Wright and the recently retired tea lady, Kath I think she's called?

Watford away

Fucking hell, was just talking the other day about that cup game that was replayed a few times against them in our relegation year. Two shit teams and awful football, (back then), that was finally put out of it's misery when Roeder scored a waxer own goal near the end of the 2nd replay (IIRC).

It's an omen. We're doomed! Early exit and relegation!

Aye, three replays! what a boring, shit tie, seemed to go on forever.

I guess we will have to see if we really are 'prioritising the cups' this season. No idea what kind of side Watford will put out like.
