The only thing I remember him doing of note so far is getting himself stupidly sent off. Not saying he won't ever go on to be a decent player but him and Steve "the pointer" Taylor doesn't exactly inspire confidence for the relegation run in.

Scored a decent goal v Watford.

Quick recap of McClaren’s best bits from the Press conference

Fabricio Coloccini is out for the next two games - and Chancel Mbemba won’t make it either

Six are back in - and that includes Papiss Cisse and Aleksandar Mitrovic. Siem de Jong, Vurnon Anita and Jack Colback will also be available

McClaren sought to hit back at critics who accused United of burying their heads in the sand, saying United know exactly the situation they’re in

United are the ‘most frustrating team’ McClaren has ever worked with, he said

De Jong was injured? That bloke is hopeless, I have no idea when he is actually injured and when he is just recovering from injury so has to be on the bench. What a buy he has been.

The time for worrying is over, as Steve McClaren has now worked out where Newcastle are going wrong in away matches.

The United Head Coach says that Newcastle have to start keeping ‘'clean sheets and score goals’'.

 and at the end of the day it's a game of two halves, 11 men against 11 men, and the team that scores the most goals will win.
