What Rafa has done with this club has been masterful considering what was arguably one of the worst front lines in the Premier League, and midfielders that were either young and inexperienced, or average for the Championship The starting lineup for most of the season prior to mid-December: Elliot/Darlow, Yedlin, C. Clark, Lascelles, Manquillo/Mbemba, Hayden, Merino/Shelvey, Ritchie, Atsu/Murphy, Perez, Joselu/Gayle. This lineup made me nervous as heck to survive the league, but survive they did after a few changes like putting Diam next to Shelvey. A masterstroke. Lascelles staying fit has been massive too - he's so important for us - as have the additions of dubravka and kenedy. joselu being benched has also had a lot to do with it.
