As @@ewerk said, it's generally assumed Adams and McGuinness are on par.

 

I don't really buy that there's any difference between Obama's drone strikes and the tactics of the IRA (for the most part).  A murderer is still a murderer even if they only work weekends.

 

Now that's a controversial opinion. True, though.

As an aside, remember Lord Longford and his bizarre and distasteful campaign to get Myra Hindley released? The same bloke absolutely hated homosexuals. A rather unpleasant example of privilege trumping abilty in this country.
