Mid 60s to mid 70s is probably my favourite era in film. I think George Roy Hill is slightly overlooked compared to some of his contemporaries. Apart from the obvious other one (Butch and Sundance) he directed some other quality films. Two that stand out are Slaughterhouse 5 and The World According to Garp.
