Aye both mint and both will be turning up on telly which is good. Disgustingly handsome too in his youth. Nobody should be allowed to be that good looking.

Never actually seen The Sting, even though I know it was Newman and Redford under the same director as Butch Cassidy. Might blast it on tonight if this Spurs game is shite

It's superb. :good:

what a film that is.

Interesting little side-fact, film based.

Amongst many others, Dustin Hoffman was once seriously considered for the role of John Rambo.

Also, farewell Sundance!

Watched The Sting last night, it's such a great film. Early 70s was a great period for films.

Totally agree. Mid 60s to mid 70s is probably my favourite era in film. I think George Roy Hill is slightly overlooked compared to some of his contemporaries. Apart from the obvious other one (Butch and Sundance) he directed some other quality films. Two that stand out are Slaughterhouse 5 and The World According to Garp. Two great books imo where an adaptation could’ve easily been shite but they both managed to capture the essence of the novels.

There you go, now STFU.

By coincidence I saw him last night on the piper alpha three part documentary that's on the BBC iPlayer. Hadn't seen him for years. Worth watching btw. :good:

I rushed past the quote and became confused as to why Dickie Bird was part of a documentary about piper alpha
