Totally agree, signings were excellent, that's what happens when a manager is allowed to pick and choose his own players instead of a D.O.F. You forget a weak Norwich.

That can happen. Of course some managers can buy absolute turboshit if given free reign and can stymie any progress the club was making. Your club has had their fair share of those.

At least a manger lives or dies by his decision. The faceless, clueless, excuses for human beings that try and determine what's best on behalf of a manager have caused chaos for both clubs!

I think a good DoF can be a valuable appointment, I just think it's rare that all of the pieces fit together well.

So Mark Hughes and Alan Pardew are better managers than Jose Mourinho? They were both above him when he was sacked.

These mackems have the brass neck to call us delusional and some of them actually think Sam Allardyce is a better manager than Rafa Benitez .

Raffa blew it to the Championship, failing the job he was brought in for (keeping NUFC in the PL), Sam Allardyce kept Sunderland in the PL.

If you cannot accept the above FACTS, then it is you whom is delusional!

Silly phucker

You're half right - Sam kept Sunderland up, Rafa was unable to do so. By that measure Rafa failed but clearly it doesn't tell the whole story. Sam had 30 games, Rafa had 10. You had a squad used to pulling together during relegation battles with a clinical goal scorer. Rafa inherited a shite squad with an even worse team spirit.

Fat Sam is fine as long as your content with awful football, playing for draws against the worst sides in the league and surviving in the league being the top of your ambitions. Why don't you come back this time next season and update us?

There's a reason one of them has managed at some of Europe's top clubs while the other thinks he should have.
