Was a really dull game, particularly the second half but we did what we needed to do.

Yedlin was good and I think him and Ritchie can form a really good partnership down the right.  Lazaar had a bit of a shocking start.  To his credit he pulled himself round but the general feeling was that he didn't really look like a fullback.  He's fast and has got very quick feet and he was looking to get forward all the time but he was getting caught out of position a lot.  It may be that he was just trying to do too much and once he settles down he'll be fine, but on that performance, you can't see him getting many games at leftback away from home.

I thought Murphy did pretty much what you'd want him to.  He won and held most balls up that were played his way.  I still think we should be playing two strikers though to get the best out of all four of them.  Diame isn't suited to be playing as far forward as he is.  He should be playing deeper so he can make runs from deeper.

Darlow continues to look far more assured than Sels.

Aye, that about sums it up. It's very encouraging to see us win another game and not really get out of second gear which was the case in our other wins. Let's hope Saturday was a blip.

I wouldn't mind seeing Murphy play with Gayle at the weekend since it might get Gayle a bit more involved in the game since he had nowt to work with last Saturday. I thought Colback had a canny game as well, kept the clumsy tackles to a minimum and actually broke play up a few times
