Getting a good facial likeness has never been that easy for artists so I'm interested in seeing the finished article to see just how good this bloke is. Something tells me he's got the gifted talent to make faces recognizable on looking at wee Hughie.

The husband says it doesn't come easy, but he has been practicing for 30 odd years now, and thanks

Actually, there's a theory that lots of the old masters used optical aids in their works:

Don't blame them either! The difficulty of what they painted, often on massive scale, all the way up to about the mid 19th century is mind boggling. Good to see people like mr walks keeping the flame alive ?

I'm only joking man, woman man. ( untangle that one!)

Tell you what though , if you auction one off for the Bobby Robson Foundation that would be a nice touch.

No problem at all, will sort something out with you  when Dave's finished the painting.
