The Magpies travel to Humberside on Tuesday for an EFL Cup Quarter Final tie against the top flight Tigers.

Kick-off is at 7.45pm and all 2,474 tickets allocated to Newcastle at the KCOM Stadium have been sold.

Over 5,000 tickets for a beam back in bar at SJP have been distributed with some left in the Platinum Club.

A maximum of four can be ordered, with an admin charge of £1 each for online sales (free if collected in person from the SJP ticket office or NINE Bar).

A result must be achieved on the night, via extra time and/or penalties and the winner will qualify for a two legged semi-final to be played w/c Jan 9th and 23rd.

Update from HCFC: Turnstiles will open at 6.15pm. Supporters are advised to allow plenty of time for their journey to the stadium – ongoing road works on routes into the area could cause travel delays.

Quarter Finals:

Tue 29.11.2016:

Hull City v Newcastle United (7.45pm)

Liverpool v Leeds United (7.45pm) Sky

Wed 30.11.2016:

Arsenal v Southampton (7.45pm)

Manchester United v West Ham United (8pm) Sky

NUFC: Jack Colback may return after missing the visit of Blackburn Rovers, but Grant Hanley is expected to be missing again.

The tie offers a first return to Humberside for Toon duo Momo Diame and Isaac Hayden, who were both part of the Tigers side who won promotion to the Premier League - Hayden while on loan from Arsenal.

Betting: Corals rate a Newcastle victory within 90 minutes at 6/5 and 29/10 to win to nil in that time.

HCFC: Allan McGregor, Alex Bruce, Greg Luer, Brian Lenihan, Moses Odubajo, Will Keane, Shaun Maloney and Abel Hernandez are all absent due to injury.

Mike Phelan's side (with ex-Magpie Neil McDonald assisting him) got to this point via wins at Exeter City (3-1), Stoke City and Bristol City (both 2-1).

Ahead of our visit, Hull drew 1-1 at home to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday in the Premier League, watched by 18,086 spectators.

Referee: Neil Swarbrick - Lancashire-based Premier League referee who is yet to officiate a Hull game this season. His last Newcastle appointment was a 0-1 defeat at Stoke City back in March.

UK TV: None (Channel 5 have an EFL highlights show scheduled for 10.30pm on Wednesday evening).

Overseas TV:

beIN Sport 2 Australia

SuperSport 7 (Za)

SuperSport Maximo 2

UK Radio: Live on BBC Radio 5 Live Extra

Local Radio: Live on BBC Radio Newcastle (available worldwide via NUFC TV club subscription service).

Stats:  We've met Hull once before in the League Cup, when goals from Des Hamilton and Ian Rush saw us advance 2-0 at Gallowgate in October 1997.

This will be our eighth Quarter Final appearance and aside from beating Notts County en route to Wembley back in December 1975, we've always bowed out:

League Cup Quarter Final Record:

1974/75 Chester City (h) drew 0-0

1974/75 Chester City (a) lost 0-1 (replay)

1975/76 Notts County (h) won 1-0

1995/96 Arsenal (a) lost 0-2

1997/98 Liverpool (h) lost 0-2

2001/02 Chelsea (a) lost 0-1

2006/07 Chelsea (h) lost 0-1

2014/15 Spurs (a) lost 0-4

No Newcastle player has ever scored for us in a League Cup Quarter Final tie - the only strike we've managed to date was a Notts County own goal.

Toon @ KCOM Stadium:

2014/15 won 3-0 Cabella, Ameobi, Gouffran

2013/14 won 4-1 Sissoko 2, Remy, Anita

2008/09 drew 1-1 S.Taylor

2008/09 drew 0-0 (FAC)

(We also won 4-0 there in a friendly back in 2003 but were beaten 0-1 in another kickabout during 2007).

I thought Ant had decreed that we were ceasing the abusive thread titles  Their hoodoo has worn off, no?

I'd take 90% winrate like.

I really fancy us for this 0-2 "Howay the lads"

Hopefully we'll get a nice telly stream

It's listed on my paid service and is on a couple of foreign channels, so I'd say you'll get one.
