Officially, Sven has the best record of any England manager. Qualified for everything, progressed past the group stages. Although, if Jeff Powell is to be believed, if we'd had Venables in charge we'd currently be European and World champions.  :huh:

His record isn't that much better than other managers tbh. Hoddle, Venables and Robson all boast similar records.

Yeah, but what has he achieved that Venables and Hoddle didn't? Qualifying by beating a bunch of no-hopers from Eastern Europe, beating some a-bit-but -not-much-more hopers in the group stages before crashing out to the first decent team we come across.

 

I think Erikkson has done an okay job as England coach, but nothing outstanding. Yet.
