Although, if Jeff Powell is to be believed, if we'd had Venables in charge we'd currently be European and World champions. 83770[/snapback] His record isn't that much better than other managers tbh. Qualifying by beating a bunch of no-hopers from Eastern Europe, beating some a-bit-but -not-much-more hopers in the group stages before crashing out to the first decent team we come across.
