Aye, someone mentioned that yesterday. The FA's powers are quite wide ranging. Though without a recent precedent it's impossible to know what they would do. If we're talking about one or two transfers rather than a blanket policy like the one Rangers used then I don't think that much will come of it.

If it turns out that the real culprit here is Marseille, as seems likely considering that both English clubs have been dealing with them, then this will surely be nothing more than a slap on the wrist. They have to punish West Ham as hard as us for one thing, and I doubt the FA is going to want to issue points deductions to two well supported clubs. It'd make next season a complete farce.

 

I think the biggest annoyance is what ewerk mentioned about the takeover though - no one will buy us while this is going on.

What we need is for one of the big boys to come under scrutiny which would probably make the FA think again about points deductions.The FA of course could give the big club a lesser punishment and make an example of either us,West ham or both of us.
