Whenever he feels that he would (should) need to give in to others demands, he then readjusts the bar and sets it higher, see Keegan, Shearer and Staveley. Last summer there wasn't the Premiership TV money, player's bonuses and Benitez's wage to pay, so still a tight budget.Ā If the club had Ā£100mil in the bank then maybe a different story. Ā Hopefully Mitrovic has a good world cup and generates a lot of money for a new striker (or keep him if Benitez has a change of mind andĀ the playerĀ can learn discipline).
