We kick off against Spurs with an afternoon kick off. They've sold their number 1 RB whilst their second choice is injured. Son is out injured too meaning a possible rare appearance for all round good guy and Champions League specialist Moussa Sissoko. Theyve signed no players and havent had the best of Pre-seasons by all accounts so I'll actually be disappointed if we don't get a win or some sort of result against these as they have no momentum going into the season.

2-1 - Mitro double.

Howay!

They have only lost once to Man City and have beaten PSG, Roma, and Juventus yesterday.

Edit: Sorry, a 3-2 loss to Roma.  Still a good preseason against class competition.

No shame in losing to this lot, they play really entertaining football and have some excellent players.

Atsu  1-2 - Kane, Son

Don't fancy us to get anything.  We've had a decent enough pre season (results wise) but we're still playing the same left winger who wasn't good enough to get a game ahead of Gouffran last season, we still don't have a number 10, we are down to two strikers, one who is struggling for fitness and one who the manager doesn't rate, we still have Dummett at leftback and we still don't have have an alternative in midfield for if Shelvey isn't playing/firing.  Somehow we've failed to address pretty much every area of concern from last season (Colback appears to further away from the team and we have cover for Ritchies so there are two improvements to the squad).

Going to be a difficult season as things stand.

Not so confident at the min.  Hopefully Gayle will be fine for it.  Can see us grabbing one and they have a few injury issues.  1-1.

First game and the bed wetters are out in force

These are struggling at right back, talk of Dier filling in there. He isn't blessed with much pace so surely that is a weakness we should be capitalising on. I think we'll get something out of the game, we've got a good record against Spurs and we should be going into the game with confidence after two decent performances.
