Liverpool would be in that list, no?

No mate not Everton. They won the league in 1985. A month later all English clubs were banned from European competition till 1991.

The thing with Manquillo is very very Strange.

He was one of the best Spanish prospect in the youth team disputing the right back with Carvajal (Real Madrid). Simeone had him in the Atletico First squad in his first professional year... But he need go on loan to get minutes as a starter... He was very stupid because Bielsa wanted him to be starter in OM, but he prefered go to Liverpool, when, obviuosly, he was almos always in the stands (Glen Johnson and Flanagan disputed the position).

Then... He did very well in OM (one year later), and very very very bad and Sunderland. I think he is very speed and is good for the Attack... But he is very vulnerable in defense and he is very light to Premer League. I don't know. He has a lot of very good conditions, but he does not show them and it seems that he has been stuck

Unfortunately being good at defense is fairly important for a left back. Yedlin has the pace to make up for any mistakes he makes. Manquillo doesnt (although he's far from slow.) He seems to be benefiting from some tactical coaching from Benitez though. Manquillo only made 1 mistake last night when he let his player drift past him near the touchline and seemed away with the fairies. Hopefully he's turned the corner now
