Smacks of “we can’t afford to get rid of him at this point”

I hate to speak up on behalf of a prick like Ratcliffe, but shouldn't that read "reactions to the press who goes off on one every week", rather than "off/on one"?

Lee Ryder looks on with tears in his eyes.

Went for McDonald’s with Adam Pearson in retaliation

"Ah sez, 'Why not gan to the three bulls nappaz?' but nah, they're too good for that. Ah telt them that apart from a cheapish pint on an afternoon you also got to hear what the punters were saying about NUFC, ah've gotten many a scoop from listening to the punters in the likes of the garter, the three bulls and the beehovel, believe you me."

Such a bizarre situation there. They were having a great season, beyond their wildest dreams, and before it's even done there's a falling out between the manager and the owner. Then instead of ending it during the off-season it drags on into the start of the season, likely causing problems with the players through the general volatility and unease at the club. Then part ways a few games into the new season, and hastily appoint a manager who has just had a tragically shit season at a club with notably deeper reserves and bring him in giving him effectively no time to implement any changes to the style of play even though his style of play is vastly different to the previous highly successful manager. But let's not end it there, now let's get rid of this new manager, who yes is probably not going to work and ralk about implementing another new manager whose style of play again is totally different.

Chris Wood would probably be happy.

With the US, Canada and Mexico all qualifying automatically, Steve McClaren must have been thinking he was on to a flyer as Jamaica manager and would finally get to a World Cup. Never mind, beaten 2-0 by Curacao and a point behind them in second as it stands. What a useless cunt
