If there’s one club in the world who can be the richest club by a fucking mile for a number of years and win fuck all it’s us.

if anyone hasn’t seen this scenario coming a mile off then they’ve not really been paying attention :cuppa:

I sincerely hope Rafa stays in China.

Would his return see you end your “long long association” with this club?

I’d be absolutely delighted with Benitez or Pochettino.

I appreciate that Pochettino has never won a trophy as a manager but he has managed Espanyol, Southampton and Spurs. Would you have expected him to win a trophy at any of those clubs? Arguably Spurs but, when you consider Spurs wage structure and transfer spend, they are miles behind most of the rest of the top six. Getting Spurs to the CL final is an unbeleivable achievement. I also think he comes across as being a decent bloke and he seems to get the best out of his players.

We’d be lucky as fuck to get him.

I am absolutely baffled at the number of people arguing that they'd be unhappy with Pochettino here

Has anyone actually said that?

I think there's a lot of guess work going on, as per usual, with regard to when this thing will be announced, and who the next manager will be. Caulkin, who seems to be the most reliable source, has said that while the owners may have ideas of who they want, they haven't even drawn up an official list yet let alone thought about how much they are going to offer Poch. As for the takeover announcement, anyone who can count to 30 can guess that it will be around now that it will be announced, given we know it went to the premier league on the 9th. I was going to say it must be great being a football journo given you can just guess what you think is most likely, be right some of the time, and rarely have any comeback, but that's really just most journalists these days.

Not sure about Poch but honestly, compared to where we were 2 months ago, I'll take it.

We all know what Bruce is!

I think Koeman did a better job than Poch at Southampton and Tottenham, well that speaks for itself.

I'll be surprised (and disappointed) if it's not Rafa.

Naglesmann is the best young manager on the planet. Get him for a couple of seasons before he goes to Real or Barca...

Aye seeing a lot of this type of stuff on Twitter. He’s a Saudi journalist apparently.

I like him but 19m£ per year? Is it joke?
Even for the richest club in the world. :D
Nobody deserves so much salary. Excluding Klopp and Pep.

I'd be prepared to do it for half that amount :)

He may well be asking for £19m a year but he needs to realise he’s won nowt and is unlikely to get a job with another big club in the Premier League in the next 6 months.

Could just be referring to your morning dump to be honest.

Poch would be amazing. All these names getting thrown around man just think where we were a month back.

Why? We'd have to offer that sort of wage and more to the very top players, why not to a top manager?

Not to mention he's wont be taking over at City or Barca. There is a huge amount of work to do here.
