The cruise operators will come into player when we’re playing our games ON THE OPEN OCEAN. Imagine, docking into Brighton to pick them up and then smashing them all over on our special soccer poop deck. Maybe bring a couple of ball bags to accommodate for Joelinton braying shots over the side

I mean, disaster capitalism can work given the right circumstances. But we are literally in unprecedented times. Buying shares in planes, cruise ships, football clubs and theme parks when they may be out of business in 12 months isn't a particularly measured risk

You don’t think cruise companies and airlines will go out of business?

The US wouldn’t let Boeing go out of business. If the cruise lines need more cash then they’ll go to the shareholders to raise funds which would allow the Saudis to increase their stake. It’s a good time to be buying right now for the cash rich.

Delaney has no problem whatsoever with the PiF investing heavily in all of these companies, if anyone gives a fuck what that hypocritical bellend thinks.

Well the thing about unprecedented events is, they’ve never happened before! Its complete guesswork as to what the future holds for any of them atm. Even Disney, the money they are losing daily across their theme parks is ridiculous.  And America will be so fucked from COVID who knows when they will A- be reopened and B- who will be stupid enough to go

You could say that, but then again having us in the back pages constantly takes a bit of pressure off them with regard to project restart for the league. We're already seeing players kick up a fuss, which is justified in some respects, so again for the takeover to still be happening gives them a little cover from all the spotlight being on that.

Cover needs to be something positive doesn't it? Not sure having this takeover drag on and on is much of a PR overcoat for them. Rather it builds on the aggregate pressure.

It's more likely the Premier league lawyers are milking as much as they can plus getting the season finished so they all get their bonuses will be more of a priority.

Fuck Off.

At present the gutter press are somehow trying to place the blame on the Saudi's potentially taking over on us the fans, then the Saudi's, the UK government third, Ashley a far fourth, and then maybe the premier league get a mention. So until they make a decision it isn't anything for them in terms of negativity from the press. The only negativity they are getting about prolonging the process is from Newcastle fans. The press can't be like, I can't believe the premier league did this, when they haven't even made an official decision.

Oliver Bernard reckons a reliable source/sauce has told him that the takeover is happening today. Don't recall Bernard making any predictions before, or what sort of record he has of being full of shite, or not.

His predictions are crepe

Was that just for the French pun, or do you have knowledge of him making predictions and being wrong?
