He's a character, anyway. Good luck to him as I don't think he takes himself too seriously and it beats working for a living but the conservative stuff is a bit harder, (lot) harder to excuse.

I’ll be honest in that I used to think he was alright. But a lot of the more recent stuff is silly to say the least.

 So Ashley has taken a non-refundable deposit (which definitely is contingent on them having exclusivity) and signed away the club pending final PL approval, and then agreed to another deal 3 weeks or so into the PL checks? Aye sure he did. The bloke is an arsehole but he’s not going to risk fucking the deal up.

Aye, there might be a verbally agreed deal on the condition that the Saudis fail the director’s test but I think that’s about it t and some papers do want to ride the fan’s anxiety wave as long as they can.

I don’t think that something is going for PL approval without a legally binding agreement in place.

Not a Newcastle fan but I genuinely hope this sale goes through, you get rid of Ashley completely and you can be challenging for the PL title very soon! A few of my mates are geordies and they amongst the best people I know! Been to St James Park twice for football and Kings of Leon and the geordies make Newcastle an amazing night out!! In my opinion,  you have the best fans in the country and you deserve to be competing at the top!!! Good luck you wonderful people ❤ (P.S. I've also been to away games at Sunderland and Middlesbrough and they are literally the biggest shithole towns and shottest fans in the country!)

Manchester City fan I come in peace

I think most City fans will welcome your take over much rather fight for a title with you lot than London clubs or two clubs closer to home. Some of us will be wondering what you have been saying about our take over. Are you being consistent about Middle Eastern human rights and spending huge sums ? In my view the more competition the better it is for me as spectator

I had a look at your take over topic and I think you are right to expect huge investment in both the club and Newcastle its self but do not expect it to be straight forward. First off whilst FFP is going  to be relaxed due to the Corona virus but in a very minor way and if City are successful at CAS or in court it could be altered or scrapped. You are also helped by the change to the rules around new owners but. We got in ahead of the start of the rules and some would claim we fiddled the figures with UEA sponsorship money (I can explain later why this is not really the case and why City will win at CAS or in court and should never have been punished first time round let alone second) (Can Saudi Arabia do the same ?)

Expect to probably over pay for a lot of players who are better than what you have but not amazing and then have to get rid of them for not very much money as you move up the league remember Wayne Bridge etc at city in the early days.

On the investment in Newcastle area do not expect it to be that quick City have been slow to expand the ground the Academy took a while to be built compulsory purchase of United fans company. There is still a huge amount of land to develop New Arena finally proposed but still a lot left to put forward on site of the former proposed super casino and I think elsewhere. in the city I have read that the owner has something like 300 - 400 acres of land but the land everyone talks about is the academy 80 acres plus immediately round the ground   a lot will depends on what the owners want and how much land is available more land more ambitious much much slower. I am sure our owner could have had thousands of flats built round the ground in no time but he wants some sort of Disneyland entertainment education sports thing and there is public transport to consider.

Do not expect any early criticism of spending or human rights to go away at least not anytime soon

AH just posted a Morrisey track on another thread with the disclaimer that the man is a wanker. It’s very possible to like his music while detesting the man just as it’s possible to support the club while being abhorred at the owner’s country’s human rights record and military interventions.

“I think this one’s genuine.

“I think this one goes through.

“I think it works as a business proposition.”

Samuel speaking on the Sunday Supplement just now. He looks like Fred Flintstone's less intelligent brother.
