as suspected, well that couple of days of excitement at the start was nice.

oh well

To sum up the likely story, he's come up against people with more money than him, he's tried to play hardball to look clever and make more than just being lucky to get away from owning a club breakeven/a little profit,  they've given up being diplomatic with him ripping the arse out of it and have walked away as they're not desperate

I think he didn't want to take on the risk of a relegation clause, so they've said alright then you keep the club up. Now with the transfer window deadline approaching he's becoming increasingly desperate and erratic as it slowly dawns on the grubby little cunt that he has to spend. He's in a game of chicken with himself. It's a no-lose situation for PCP. They just can sit back and watch him unravel from here

Sources close to PCP Capital Partners and Amanda Staveley learned the deal was off via the media. No contact from #nufc - and they insist a bid DID go in back in November. In response from Ashley's lot saying there was never a bid made .

Yep, he's trying to be clever.

He's just an absolute waste of time and air. The bottom line is he will go if he gets an offer he deems good enough. It's just becoming clear that he won't go until he does get an offer he deems good enough.

And insulting the people you're negotiating with, which is what he's just done, really doesn't help your cause. Quite bizarre.

It could just be calling PCP’s bluff.

But if it isn’t, Rafa looks at his meagre transfer budget and with no hope of things changing he walks. The Fat Cunt brings in a replacement on the cheap, the fans turn, the team look rudderless and we plummet into the Championship.

Burn the cunt alive.

they won't though, they'll still go in droves like the other years...

I dunno. There’s only so many times the match going fans will take it. If we’re relegated then we could see sub 30,000 crowds.

You don't wait 3 months to say that there's been no bid made.

It's no coincidence that theyve "leaked" this mid transfer window. It's just so there's an excuse in place for when we sign nobody citing that he hoped to get it sold by Christmas but they messed about meaning nothing was in place for this window.

The sale will go through just it'll be if we stay up.

So they claim, that the meeting at the Indian restaurant was just Staveley stalking Ashley...

Hmmmm....from that article...

Ashley’s appointed legal representative, Andrew Henderson of Dentons.

seems to be different info to what Caulkin claims...

No fucker knows anything, nothing to see here :cuppa:

saw this in another place, some fair points...

Hold the fuckin bus here. Southampton sell 80% of their shares at £210m. With a £30m training complex and a conveyer belt of huge player sales? Latest being Van dijk (75m). Everton sell 50% of their shares at £85.5m making them worth £171m. Everton a premier league ever present. So how are Nufc worth £300m+? Relegation twice in 6 years and a squad of championship players. Hrmc case hanging over    the club. Our transfer record sits in 2005 while every other club has broken theirs numerous times. The club is and has been shambolic under Ashley’s ownership. Why would anyone regardless of funds overpay to pay for the previous owners mistakes. Doesn’t make sense.
