New Laptop

Recommended Posts

So my old one is very much on its last legs.

Its screen doesn't work (its permanently attached to a screen now) its keyboard just decides I'm holding down the / key sometimes. It is limping on for a bit but its days are numbered.

My last couple of machines have been from PCSpecialist who I'd have no hesitation with buying from again but I wonder if there are any other places I should be looking first?

I have gone to PCSpecialist several times and haven't been let down. I mean, shop around by all means, but I would go back to them personally.

I use an ultrabook, asus/samsung can't remember which but similar to a macbook air, it's grand for what i use it for which isn't much, got an i5 and a solidstate drive in it, lightweight with long battery

Depends what ya want a laptop for tbh, if it's a "desktop replacement" or just something to browse the net/watch videos on/take traveling (which is all i do hence having a big hitter pc still).

Why not a desktop then? get more bang for your buck

Anyway if it's something like that anyway and you might use it for games you know yourself anything with a reasonable graphics card in it (gtx 1050/60 or more) prob going set ya back 700+

i'd say dell or pcspecialist will be grand tbh, most of them will be based off the same "setup" not an awful lot of room to be different with laptops and what they can get from suppliers

You'd rather watch porn like a Member of Parliament and get caught?

No, thats why I want a new laptop that doesn't belong to my work.
