Newcastle United vs Brighton & Hove Albion - 30/12/2017 - 3pm

A one for the old folk here ( like me )

Brighton at home 1984 a 3-1 win scorers Keegan, Waddle and a superb 3rd from the genius Peter Beardsley.

Karl Darlow is set to return to Newcastle United’s starting XI against Brighton following an injury to Rob Elliot.

The Republic of Ireland international has suffered a thigh problem and Elliot’s absence will also see Freddie Woodman step up to the bench.

United will also be without Florian Lejeune for the game against Chris Hughton’s Brighton, but Isaac Hayden returns to the squad for the game with the Seagulls.

With only 4 points from the last 33 we must not lose today in fact 1 point probably wont be enough. We must not be complacent against these yes they've not scored many away from home.  I'd hope for our usual early goal but then i'd like to see us push on, not sit back.

I think I'm being kind when I say 2/3 of that 18 is (admittedly good) Championship quality.

Championship match of the week so far.

Edit: Nice pass from Merino, Joselu should have been in the middle there for Gayle's shot (or pass as it should have been).

He only thing I’d question is why Elliot hasn’t kept his place

His leg fell off in training, actually did you already know that?
