Caddyshack.

:lol::

So I jump ship in Hong Kong and make my way over to Tibet, and I get on as a looper at a course over in the Himalayas. A looper, you know, a caddy, a looper, a jock. So, I tell them I'm a pro jock, and who do you think they give me? The Dalai Lama, himself. Twelfth son of the Lama. The flowing robes, the grace, bald... striking. So, I'm on the first tee with him. I give him the driver. He hauls off and whacks one - big hitter, the Lama - long, into a ten-thousand foot crevasse, right at the base of this glacier. Do you know what the Lama says? Gunga galunga... gunga, gunga-galunga. So we finish the eighteenth and he's gonna stiff me. And I say, "Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know." And he says, "Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness." So I got that goin' for me, which is nice.

Great quote.

I only read yesterday that Chase/Murray and Dangerfield were supposed to only be bit part characters, but they ended up getting more screen time than anyone due to their fabulousness.

The Terminator

Terminator 2

Really great. Surprisingly pretty different in style. The effects in the first looked weird especially when they switch from real Arnie to fake Arnie, but when you know it's an old film it's like you suspend your disbelief for that too and naturally give it a break.

Loved the whole story time line looping the loop with both films also... the future people being the cause for that very same future and all that.

Went to see Terminator Salvation tonight, and in my opinion the critics are wrong and I personally think it's brilliant. The action is mind-blowing, whilst the story line is slightly weak it still patches up the shambles of T3. Bale was decent, although he was overshadowed again, by Worthington who was very good. Meanwhile, the references to the old films was class, and when Arnie embarked from that chamber I couldn't help but smile, he looked real and its was a great addition. Looking forward to the next film.

I rate the summer BB's in this fashion.

Wolverine

T4

Star Trek

I reckon my opinion will be polar to Parky's given that i rated Star Trek very highly but felt let down by Wolverine. If you watch clips of the Wolverine game, that's the level of ferocity I'd want from the film. I'm so frustrated with tempering the violence and aggression in films which need those to breath, simply so they can appeal to a larger comsuner base.

I'd anticipate T4 being the same.

Saw the original Terminator on friday night btw. Still fucking class, the best of the lot by far iyam.

The CGI at the end is shit like compared to what they can come up with now. :aye:

How To Lose Friends And Alienate People 7/10. Let down by the predictable end but thoroughly enjoyed it otherwise. I'm starting to come round to Pegg more now.

I thought it was sub-standard to be honest. A few funny lines but utterly forgettable. Up there with Run Fatboy, Run.

I actually thought it might be good (Run Fatboy, run) as David Schwimmer directed but alas it was GASH.

I watched Ken Loach's Riff Raff on Film 4 the other day, for the first time in 15 years. Features a young Robert Carlyle and a healthier lookinf Ricky Tomlinson. Cracking stuff, captured the era well.

Watched Zack and Miri make a porno - Canny funny to be honest first film I've seen Seth Rogen in a main part and not be a stoner.

I watched T1 the other night in all that end scene is fucking shocking now :aye: and just before it where they are preparing to take half Arnie's face off where he looks like he's made out of plaster. T2 does still stand up surprisingly well though.

I think it just came up at the right time when I was fancying some mindless fluff. But I found Pegg quite entertaining and Bridges is always value for money.
