Preston Away

PNE fan here in peace! Just to let you know that since your last visit to Deepdale a couple of years back, the old away fans pub (The Sumners) has now closed and is at present a building site. However just passed the Fulwood Army Barracks (on the right) - which was opposite where The Sumners pub was, is the new Away Fans Pub - the White Hart. The full address is 230 Watling Street Road, Fulwood, Preston, PR2 8AD. The pub has a large car park, plus there is lots of off street parking around the pub. It has Sky/BT Sports, and a good range of beers, at very reasonable prices. There is plenty of room and tables outside to front of the pub, which is good if its a sunny day. The pub does not do food, but there is a great fish and chip shop right next door, plus a Chinese take away and Spa shop - in the same block. The pub is about a 10 to 12 minute walk from the away end (Bill Shankley Kop End) - which holds just under 5,600 now. How many fans are you expecting to bring on Saturday? The White Hart has its own Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/TheWhiteHartPubFulwood/ - We look forward to seeing the Toon Army back in Preston!

The bars next to the station were all fine to drink in last time we were there.  That part of the town is quite reasonable.  There was some club that looked like it had been petrol bombed a bit further down the street though.

Yes the Old Vic - across the road from the train station let away fans in. I think the Railway pub right next to the side entrance may do too. However, I doubt they will run the free bus service (for away fans from the train station) to the ground on Saturday, but there are loads of taxis around that area.

I went to Preston in the Championship and enjoyed myself. Granted, we won but still, Deepdale is a good, old fashioned ground. Bit like Hillsborough but without looking like it’s about to break apart.

Nice bit of positivity.

Poor land comes in to help and gets a right load of shite

Lost 2-1

Nothing to smile about you wanker.

JFW, our 2 record-breaking new signings were responsible for the loss. Miggy misses a penalty and Joelie gives a penalty away which they don't miss.

Back to the drawing board Mr. Bruce.

Who gives a shit? We’re going to have a nightmare of a season regardless of preseason friendlies, the sooner you resign yourself to that the better it’ll be for your heart.

Lighten up sad act, it's a daft friendly. All about match fitness at this stage.
