He needs to get a fucking grip. The country is going up in flames and he's on the verge of tears because Man United finished 3rd last season and got tonked today

Would loved to have seen Evra's face after the Man U game but missed it. Evra gurning after the match, Gary Neville bemoaning their players and I assume Carragher will be doing likewise for Liverpool? No ex-Spurs or Villa players to big up their clubs or is it a Man U/Liverpool post mortem? (I'm at graft so no idea?) :D

Pundits and whoever else on TV, but especially sports pundits, shouldn't have to constantly put their thoughts and feelings through the prism of Covid. You can actually be upset about your club without diminishing the seriousness of what's happening, and have two thoughts in your head at the same time. It's actually light relief to see someone get so worked up about something other than the aforementioned. If only the majority of players playing today were so passionate about winning and losing. At least it seems to be the case, from the outside looking in, that the players from Evra's era and earlier took their jobs a lot more seriously and had better attitudes.

They don’t have to- if you take the average weekly wage of a PL player as £50,000, if they see out that contract for just 5 years, they’ve made £13 million.
And that’s just average players.
Insane.

Fair enough, but even taking Covid out of the equation, he's a fanny for threatening to quit his job/nearly crying because Man Utd lost 1 game. It's a symptom of the rotten top few sides who feel entitled to spend hundreds of millions every window and win almost every game or it's a national tragedy. Whilst the flip side is tossers like Rio Ferdinand telling NUFC fans to buy their own players and leave Ashley alone

People like Ferdinand should apply the same standard to any premier league club, at least, in terms of what a clubs ambition should be. Leicester have shown what a bit of ambition, the ridiculous money premier league teams get now, and proper management and decision making from all the people in charge of running a club can do. As for Evra he has a dramatic way of speaking, not helped by speaking in a second language. I don't think you have to take everything he says literally. I mean would you rather Chris Sutton and Robbie Savage putting you to sleep?
