That’s the problem though, isn’t it? He wasn’t worth 40m when we signed him. But that’s the club’s fault not the player’s.

His performances have been mostly very shit so far, something he does deserve to be criticised for, but the extent of the criticism is out of order.

In reality Joelinton is a young player who did show promise in a different league in the past, who was worth half of the money at most, is playing in a shit team, mostly in a position that doesn’t suit him in a team playing old fashioned hoofball, where even Supa Andy is without a goal.

But of course, he is the worst player eva!1!11!!

He is fuckin' shit. I don't care who's fault it is, it's an accurate observation. I disagree with fans abusing him directly, if they're thick enough to be buying tickets still then they should accept whatever is served up. But he is shit. And it doesn't even look like there's a player in there. Don't think I've ever described Supa Andy as anything other than a joke signing fwiw. He's 23, not that young really. Owen and Rooney had already started their decline at that age. He's at an age where he should be showing some obvious quality (perhaps without consistency) and he isn't. He's showing nothing. You'd expect decent prospects to go the Austrian league and to score every week. This lad was 1 in 4. That's the sort of level Mitrovic was banging them in at, at a younger age.

Aye, against:

Arsenal

Spurs

Wolves

West Ham

Bournemouth

Villa

Joelinton scored in the top 3 outfield players for NUFC. Up until around 6 weeks ago when his head noticeably dropped.

Based on quantifiable data such as completed passes, chances created, tackles won, dribbles completed, possession kept etc.

Are marks deducted for misplaced passes and controls, bottle-outs, can't be bothereds and open goals missed?

Easy to "YouTube" any player and just show the positives.

Although facts seem to be going out of the window atm. Cognitive dissonance ruling the day

No man, folk are just simply pointing out that the lad is a wee bit shite and certainly not worth the fee paid....

The cognitive dissonance seems to be much closer to home than you think. Marra.

No marra he was the best player doing loads of dribbles and completing loads of passes at the same time as when we were launching long high balls to him.

Rochdale have been allocated 5,000 tickets. Tickets for season ticket holders go on sale on Wednesday morning prices £10 for adults & £5 for concessions for home fans. It'll be double that on matchday. Apparently if not enough are sold Charnley will be handing free ones out in the Strawberry car park. Failing that he'll be trawling round the streets trying to give them away.
