It was funny as fuck when he went and found a receipt to a season ticket from the 90s (no doubt kept to use as some form of tax break) to prove his long term loyalty as a fan. Because having a ST in the 90s after the ground expansion proved that  I think this was after admitting to not attending a single match the decade before (even a midweek one) because he sold sofas on a Saturday. He’s like Poundshop David Mellor.

Didn’t CT once says that his hero was his old gaffer as well? Everyone listing elite athletes or noteworthy family members and he fires out with his supervisor at DFS

He could sell sand to the Arabs that fella. I’ll never forget the day an old dear came in looking for a foot stool. 30% apr  (not payable for the first 6 months) and a cup of tea and a biscuit later and she was on a 3 month waiting list for a puce 4-piece suite

1564 reported deaths today. That is before the Christmas surge, I expect it to hit 2000 this time next week. :(

It's also got to be worrying surely that a week into the lockdown and we're still recording nearly 50,000 new cases per day?

These deaths are from people likely infected about three weeks ago though, before the stricter measures were introduced. And almost 50k cases a day, while still alarming, suggests lockdown 3.0 might be starting to work. It’s the third day in a row where we’ve had fewer than 50k new cases compared to several days with 60k+ new cases recently.

What it does show is the second wave is going to kill a lot more people than the first and things are going to get much worse before they get better ☹️

Lad at work (working from home though) bairn sent home from nursery as another kid's has tested positive, but only the kid has to isolate not the whole family ???? (seems strange/daft)

Also things seem to be slowing up here:

I just noticed the overall total for the first time in a while - 100k deaths man, christ. How many would have been avoidable with better decision making? It's a tragedy.

It’s fucking criminal incompetence.

And we all know the main actors in it will walk away scot-free

I hope people don’t forget about the absolutely venal stampede these cunts went on to set up “PPE supplier” company’s in order to make £millions whilst the rest of us were told to be happy with 80% of our income.

They will though.

Just as the second wave did in 1918.

What's that saying about history and lessons again?

It would help if the press took the bother to remind them come the next election. Like that’ll happen
