After this is over there needs to be a full inquest into this. Cheltenham, Liverpool game, and the Friday night pubs. People should be prosecuted, including the PM, possibly.

Absolutley there needs to be a public enquiry into this.

Whatever goodwill there was for the government at the start of all this has now gone for me. These daily press conferences are a total waste of time where you've got no mark ministers avoiding questions, and a format that allows zero follow up.

How long are they going to keep referring to testing "capacity" as if that's the target when they are falling to test to that capacity day after day. It's fucking infuriating.

I don't think the numbers looked wonky the other day, they were just always gonna skyrocket this week and next. We are only 8 days into the lockdown, there are still people that caught this pre lockdown, that are gonna die, that aren't even feeling ill yet.

The people dying have had COVID for 3-4 weeks. We won’t see the benefit of the lockdown on death rates for at least another fortnight

Little bit of goods news lads regarding the son in laws ex. Apparently she responded well to dialysis this afternoon. Her body oxygen levels are back up to 65% whatever that means. She's still in a medical induced coma but hopefully there's a little bit of light at the end of the tunnel.

That herd immunity, take it on the chin crap was treason. They will get away with it though, obviously.

Tweet isn’t embedding for some reason. Anyway, this latest chart from the FT is troubling. US and UK look set to become new epicentre. So much for flattening the curve

We’re going to need a hell of an enquiry when this has all settled.

An enquiry which will take years, become hugely politicised, and the outcome of which no one will take any notice of anyway, having decided to tar it with their own political bias without needing to engage with the material.

Pastor still holding mass gatherings in Louisiana. America has no hope of holding to its already massive death targets. This bloke reckons he had 1000 in his church at the weekend ffs.

God will welcome them with open arms - and she can have them

Yeah but people stood outside and clapped and banged on pots and pans for the NHS.

Seen a German scientist on TV earlier and he said they had started testing in Germany mid January! Granted the test kit was developed there but it puts perspective on how far behind the UK is and shows why Germany are much more in control than this government probably will be.

He also said because there is no vaccine yet the greatest way to deal with this is changing human behaviour and the message in Germany has been clear and hasn't changed at all, far from the UK aswell then.

At least we’re not in that EU procurement nonsense. Thanks again, CT.

Not defending Leave voters as they’re clearly the motivation behind the decision but the UK government did make a conscious (and completely unnecessary) decision to opt out didn’t they?
