During the dark days of 1940 it was the English people who bore the brunt of German aggression and it was the English people who steadfastly refused to yield as Hitler tried in vain to bomb them into submission. Our island was the sole beacon of hope left for the subjugated peoples of Europe - Britain stood alone against tyranny and, along with our allies, saved western civilisation from destruction. No selfish reason dictated this stance. The Germans did not want to fight us. Quite the opposite, they actually admired us. The cost of the war in both manpower and financial terms helped advance England's fall from world eminence by decades. We stood alone for no other reason than it was the right thing to do. Is this all so easily forgotten?

Our glorious history stands testament to our sense of adventure. A history of invention, of development and advancement, both of our own people and our neighbours near and far. Our martial spirit and military history stand apart from any other nation. A rich tapestry to be savoured, admired and protected.

We have a heritage that is the envy of the world and yet, due to political correctness, it is a history and culture that is to be denied us.  Asian or any other culture you can think of is to be celebrated, but we the English are not afforded the same opportunity to celebrate our identity. This cultural genocide has now reached the point where any notion of Englishness, even our own flag, is being shouted down by the left wing thought police and labelled offensive or even racist.

It is a national tragedy that through political correctness we are unable able to instil a sense of pride and history into our children. What harm can possibly come from all of our children having a greater sense of pride, identity and belonging to their own country? Indeed, in times where many have no sense of direction, when communities are fragmented, the nation state can provide that identity, pull everyone together and tell us something of who we are and from where we came. At the end of the day, political correctness is nothing more than a weapon in the hands of a small minority, used to deny the majority their right to express their opinion and culture.

You do realise we were fighting against fascists like you don't you?

Jonny comes from Boldon.

Boldon is the collective name of a group of three villages in the South Tyneside district in the United Kingdom. The villages, (East Boldon, West Boldon, and Boldon Colliery) are all between Sunderland and South Shields.

Boldon Colliery used to be a mining village. It shut down in 1983. Since then it has progressed and more jobs were availible when an ASDA opened in 1986, three years later.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boldon

He's probably been brought up in this manner, by the sort of rough and ready mining folk, who aren't really used to seeing outsiders (ethnic minorities). I think his ignorance should be pityed (sp?) rather than being angered by it.

Multiracialism is an unnatural fantasy that will never work and will only result in catastrophe. The sooner you open your eyes to this fact, the better, Pansy ;)

hese much prized principles of freedom and liberty, which for their time were radical in the extreme, can be traced directly back to those first boatloads of warriors who splashed up on our beaches all those years ago. This heady mix of Angle, Jute, Saxon and Viking was to form the basis of the ancestry of the English people. Centuries later they were joined in England by Flemings, Hugenots, Jews, West Indians and Asiatics. Many ultimately intermarried to produce a race of people today that, when asked who they are, can proudly reply, "We Are The English".

Todays britain....

CLASSIC VERSION:

The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter.

The grasshopper thinks he's a fool, and laughs and dances and plays the summer away.

Come winter, the Ant is warm and well fed.

The shivering grasshopper has no food or shelter, so he dies out in the cold.

THE END.

THE BRITISH VERSION:

The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter.

The grasshopper thinks he's a fool, and laughs and dances and plays the summer away.

Come winter, the ant is warm and well fed.

So far, so good, eh?

The shivering grasshopper calls a press conference and demands to know why the ant should be allowed to be warm and well fed while others less fortunate, like him, are cold and starving.

The BBC shows up to provide live coverage of the shivering grasshopper, with cuts to a video of the ant in his comfortable warm home in Hampstead with a table laden with food.

The British are stunned that in a country of such wealth, this poor grasshopper is allowed to suffer so while others have plenty.

The Liberal Party, the Respect Party, the Transvestites With Starving Babies Party, the Single Lesbian One Eyed Mothers Party and the Coalition Against Poverty demonstrate in front of the ant's house.

The BBC, interrupting a Rastafarian cultural festival special from Grimsby with breaking news, broadcasts them singing "We Shall Overcome."

Ken Livingstone laments in an interview with Panorama that the ant has got rich off the backs of grasshoppers, and calls for an immediate tax hike on the ant to make him pay his "fair share".

In response, the Labour Government drafts the Economic Equity and Grasshopper Anti-Discrimination Act, backdated to the beginning of the summer.

The ant's taxes are reassessed, and he is also fined for failing to Hire grasshoppers as helpers. Without enough money to pay the fine and his newly imposed backdated taxes, his home is confiscated by Camden Council.

The ant moves to France, and starts a successful AgriBiz company [funded by the EU] (although within weeks, his business is threatened with Compulsory purchase by the state unless he marries a French ant).

The BBC later shows the now fat grasshopper finishing up the last of the ant's food, though Spring is still months away, while the government house he is in, which just happens to be the ant's old house, crumbles around him because he hasn't bothered to maintain it.

Inadequate government funding is blamed, Diane Abbot is appointed to head a commission of enquiry that will cost £10,000,000.

The grasshopper is soon dead of a drug overdose, the Guardian blames it on the obvious failure of government to address the root causes of despair arising from social inequity.

The abandoned house is taken over by a Gang of immigrant spiders, praised by the government for enriching Britain's multicultural diversity, who promptly set up a marijuana growing operation and terrorize the community.

Online hate

There are many forms of hate on the Internet, ranging from extreme racist sites to the cruel satire found on many popular kids’ Web sites. Sites such as ‘uglypeople.com’ may seem harmless, but they contribute to a kids’ online culture where cruelty to others is considered acceptable.

Given this culture, it's not a stretch to imagine kids graduating from sites where people are mocked for their personal appearance to sites where minorities and homosexuals are attacked.

White supremacist and hate groups are increasingly turning to the Internet to target young people for recruitment. Hate mongers look for vulnerable youth who can be brought into their community through private chat rooms and e-mail, far away from the public eye.

These groups also use hateful music to entice young people to their cause. When kids surf the Net for music, they can easily come across sites that sell hate music, or even make it available for free.

Some hate sites have areas specifically designed for young children. The kids’ page of the official Ku Klux Klan site offers homework help and advice for talking to your parents about racial superiority, in case they “just don’t get it.” Other sites give the appearance of being legitimate by offering harmless activities and crafts and links to respected kids’ sites.

Hate sites often hide keywords in their pages that can be picked up by search engines. Some of the keywords on one white supremacist site for women are children, toys, art, games and fun. If someone enters one of these words into a keyword search engine, this site will turn up in the results.

The purpose of a hate site isn’t always readily apparent. For example, at first glance, ‘martinlutherking.org’ appears to be a tribute to the American civil rights leader. In fact, it is a hate site created by a white supremacist organization.

Hate groups often cite free speech in defense of their activities. The Web site of the Canadian Association for Free Expression appears to be concerned with civil liberties, yet it promotes the right to discuss racist immigration policies. For inexperienced young people, such information on deceptive hate sites can easily be taken at face value and not fully understood.

Teachers can be instrumental in helping young people learn to think critically about online content:

* Teach students from an early age about media violence. Young people need to learn to respect others and to respond appropriately to violent media. Talk to them about real violence and its consequences, and discourage media that portray killing or pain as entertainment.

* Educate kids about online hate. Young people will better be able to recognize and avoid hateful content if they are taught the strategies hate mongers use and the history of racism. Help them to identify hateful content and symbols on Web sites; for example, swastikas, derogatory references to race or sexual orientation, and cartoon depiction of various ethnic and racial groups.

I just cant help but laugh at all the bites you have given Jonny, it's rather marvellous..

Biggest WUM 2006 - FACT!

Except I pointed out he might be fishing on page one. WUM or not, you both come across as racist in this thread, which I suspect is what you are. People like you and your misplaced 'patriotism' make me embarrassed to be English.

Well that's the thing, it's easy enough to throw a few dodgy links up there then sit behind the safety of your keyboard and giggle at all the Internet people and their lack of a sense of humour, but it doesn't make it funny...

"You smell of wee!"

"No I don't."

"Hahahaha, I was only winding you up! You're a smelly Muslim, too. Joke!"

Anyway, this thread needs an injection of man-love, and quick:
