How the fuck was that not a penalty to Everton in the last minute of that game?  Rodri blatantly controlling the ball with his hand, and it even went to VAR.  Honestly, that is baffling.

Really sad seeing the Ukrainian lad for City crying before the match.

Bielsa was like Rafa to us in terms of he doesn't just understand Leeds as a club and their history, but he gets the city.  He is often seen just sat about Wetherby having a coffee and always has time for fans.  He lives in very modest house in Wetherby.  He is a socialist and goes beyond football.  He will be missed in the city.

Last night pissed up my sister was texting me.  Saying he's a legend and bigger than Keegan because he's done a lot out of England  She soon shut up when I pointed what Keegan did in Germany.  A few Leeds managers got close to getting Leeds in the Prem and failed in play offs so Bielsa got Leeds promoted at a time they had Philips etc coming through.  I get he is seen as a great for taking Leeds back up to the Prem after 17 years of being out, but his stubbornness to work with a small squad and not change tactics when players are injured to me is mad and not a genius he is seen as.

I don’t know if I’ve told this story before but I was an above average goalkeeper as a kid. About 16/17 playing for a team with my mates after being released by a professional team.

I was injured with a bad back and sat watching my mates playing a cup semi final against a much better team for 119 minutes, at whitby towns ground (which was a big deal at that age). The whole team grafted their tits off for the whole game and it was 0-0 and going to penalties.

The coach decides since I have a reputation (deserved) for saving penalties, he would bring me on last minute and we would win and both be heroes.

With about 0.5 seconds of the game left the other team manage to have probably the worst shot on target they have managed in 12 odd games in their cup run, and because my back is fucked, I make a complete bollock of saving it and it goes in. So we lose 1-0 before penalties.

The lads loved me at college on the monday.

Burnley v Leicester tomorrow evening. A couple of weeks ago a Leicester win would have been a no-brainer, now, I'm not so sure.

A draw is probably the best result for us or dare I say it, a Burnley win?

Definitely not. The sooner we are out of sight of the bottom 3 the better.

Everton receive apology over Man City handball - BBC Sport

Come the end of the season, an apology for this will subjectively mean fuck all however the symbolic aspect is massive. I can't recall the last time the head of PGMOL effectively admitted one of their union fucked up.

For that to be referred to VAR and them still refuse to overrule it, honestly an apology doesn't seem like enough.

It seems absolutely ropey as fuck.

Agreed. I cannot for the life of me understand the VAR call. Fair enough if Tierney missed it but for Kavanagh to state there wasn't enough evidence needed to overturn the decision, how much more fucking evidence do you need?

As much as I hate the Blue Dippers, that decision is utterly baffling and you're right, an apology isn't enough - especially if it costs them their league status.

The thing I don't understand is a free kick for offside was given, but the offside preceded the handball. It's almost like they're searching round for some reason not to give the penalty. If they'd looked at the offstde first, they could have said"Oh,nowt to see here,he was off before the handball".
