The dignified cabbage’s 1000th game

We are getting predictably hammered by everyone everywhere

It seems to have passed many opposition fans by that most of us would have gladly taken this abject defeat beforehand if it meant the end of Bruce.

Either way I'm starting to think our "Empire strikes back" moment (cos let's face it we're the bad guys here) might actually be something I take genuine pleasure in :D

"We were beaten by the better team after a wonderful start.

"Problems that we've had for a while now defensively were there for all to see unfortunately.

"We've started a few games like that, we've got off to a good start and scored, got our noses in front, unfortunately we're not able to defend well enough as a team.

"From front to back at the moment, we're not defending well enough. We've tried to change, to be more on the front-foot if that's the right word you say these days, but it's difficult because you get yourself having to score three goals to win a match."

If the whole team is consistently not defending well enough then who do you think might be at fault?

Watched it in a bar in Cyprus with loads of geordies. Good fun but fucking hell - Joelinton is absolutely fucking wank isn’t he? He missed the memo about impressing the new boss in town. Bruce failed the audition too and served up more of the same old shite. Absolutely dogshit tbh. He quickly made a watertight defence look like it could easily leak 3-4 goals every game

Regardless of new ownership after 0 wins from 8 games you’d be expecting the chop.

Glad to hear this like. Huge fucking credit to the players (both sides) for noticing there was an issue, quite possible the outcome wouldn't have been so positive otherwise.

Ginola openly chatting about his own experience during the break really fucking hit me like a ton of bricks. Anyone who has ever lost someone to a cardiac arrest has surely wondered if a faster and more educated response might have saved them.

Probably one of the best places to have a cardiac arrest.

Aye, definitely better than being sat on your own like but being lost in a sea of 50,000 folk it could easily have went the other way.

If it was a cardiac arrest, that defibrillator might not have made it over in time had the players not stopped play and it would've been way more chaotic to try to administer chest compressions.
